| A one-day seminar on 'Visual approaches to cultural heritage' was held at the ETH-Bibliothek. The ‘icon turn’ has re-focused the attention of scholars from texts to visual material and its interpretation. Image-based search tools to sources and the visual presentation of research results have, however, not emerged equally fast. The ETH-Bibliothek, the Swiss centre for technical and natural scientific information, took the opportunity of organising the CERL Spring Seminar 2018 to discuss innovative forms of access and visualisation of research results.
