{{:collaboration:projects:ecloud-logo-100px.jpg?100|}} [[http://pro.europeana.eu/web/europeana-cloud|Unlocking Europe's research via the cloud]]. The principal aim of the project is to develop a cloud-based infrastructure for the network of Europeana, its content providers and its aggregators in which to store data, with a clear understanding of the legal, strategic and economic issues involved. It also seeks to build on the successes of the infrastructure and web presence of The European Library by developing a set of tools and services within Europeana specifically for the academic researcher. The project started in February 2013, and will last for three years. CERL will be involved in developing a content strategy, and in metadata and content ingestion into the cloud. It is coordinated by the Europeana Foundation, and funded by the CIP programme of the European Commission.
