Mendham Collection

Names of former owners

The Mendham Collection, on deposit by the Law Society at Canterbury Cathedral Library, comprises Catholic and anti-Catholic literature including manuscripts and printed books ranging from the 15th to the 19th centuries.
The 1,148 provenance names for the books in the Mendham Collection are linked to the full bibliographical records on the OPAC at the University of Kent at Canterbury at http://catalogue.kent.ac.uk/.

It should be noted that the Law Society has withdrawn some of the books deposited at Canterbury Cathedral and sold them at an auction sale at Sotheby's, London, in June 2013.
